Winter Covers

The first two pictures below show how a lock in winter cover will shrink when not stored correctly in the summer after opening. This cover was cleaned and allowed to dry in the sun in the customer`s driveway by another company for 3 years in a row when we were hired to close. The cover as you can see did not fit anymore. A vinyl lock in cover should be cleaned correctly, than stored in a large enough container filled with water and algaecide. This keeps the vinyl moist and will not shrink up over time. The container also protects the cover from mice or accidently being damaged when stored.

Animal Damage

The final six pictures below are a perfect example of animal damage and what having a safety cover would prevent. The stair area shows where we found the skunk. It had chewed through the lock in winter cover and also damaged the liner. Our customers pool had lost over 30″ of water from where we had left the level at closing time. Watertown had to install a new liner, lock in cover and our customer had us install a new safety cover to prevent this from ever happening again.
